Painting is the key of my desire to seize the moment and create. This quest is not only for intrinsic pleasure but is destined to share sentiments with others. I grew up with an enthusiasm for science and arts among other things. I pursued studies in Science while maintaining at that time a sporadic painting practice and visiting a few exhibitions. Years ago while in Toronto, I explored various mediums under the guidance of Katarzyna Kabacinska, MFA, at the Katrina’s Art School and Gallery. I started painting more regularly in recent years. I most often use acrylic paint on canvas for its practicality but I also engage in watercolour painting, pastel drawing and dabble with collage.
I play with vibrant colours and enable light to deploy contrast. I do not restrain myself to try to achieve exact representations. In fact, while my day job requires rigour, in contrast in my art I like to enjoy some liberty. I let the laws of nature only brush against my canvases. Quite often you might find simplicity and blossoming colour in my paintings. The process is as important to me as the final result. I enjoy the calmness of letting my mind focus on the canvas and then wander into that space.
I value the sharing and exchanges in the arts. I am a member of Kitchener-Waterloo Society of Artists, Art$Pay and of the Francophone art organization Bravo-Sud. I occasionally participate in exhibitions and volunteer as art facilitator. Additionally, I am happy to donate a painting for a good cause.Current/Upcoming Group Exhibitions Past Group Exhibitions
